Room Air Conditioners
If every room air conditioner sold in the U.S. were ENERGY STAR qualified, it would prevent 1.3 billion pounds of greenhouse gas emissions - the equivalent emissions from 115,000 cars. ENERGY STAR qualified room air conditioners use at least 10 percent less energy than conventional models and often include timers for better temperature control, allowing you to use the minimum amount of energy you need to cool your room. A mail-in, $25 JEA rebate is available in participating stores toward the purchase of an ENERGY STAR Room AC unit. Click here for a list of participating retailers.
